In 2007, Mara and two other female photographers, Carolyn Ashburn and Elaine Pearsons, culminated a year-long project of documenting change, natural beauty, animals, people and their endeavors in our local area. An exhibition of many of these images was hosted by Tryon's Upstairs Artspace.
It was titled 3 Women / 3 Cameras and became the most successful, well-attended exhibit in the gallery's history.
